About Dr. Worrell

Rexene Worrell, M.D.

“After graduating from Ross University School of Medicine, I was accepted into an Anatomical Pathology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Following my residency, I completed a 2-year Forensic fellowship at Chicago’s Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. During that time, I worked under the supervision and guidance of 10 outstanding and highly trained forensic pathologists. My next position was as an Assistant Medical Examiner at the Clark County Coroner’s Office in Las Vegas, Nevada, where I remained for three years. In 2003, I founded Las Vegas Autopsy Service to provide services to families in a private capacity. I also held the position of Medical Examiner for Nye County Nevada for nine years. In 2007 I became the Medical Examiner in Mohave County Arizona, a position I also held for nine years. Throughout this time, I continued to provide private autopsy services to families in Las Vegas.

Throughout my 25-year career, I have completed over 10,000 cases. Approximately 4,500 of these were complete autopsies, including, 465 homicides, 12 of which were for the FBI. I have been recognized as an expert in the field of forensic pathology in the county, state, and federal judicial systems in Illinois, Nevada, and Arizona. Although my testimony has been primarily for the prosecution, I have also testified for the defense in criminal and civil cases. I have been examined in over 100+ depositions and have done dozens of consultations.

I am currently licensed in Nevada, License #9890.
